Teaching at Dilla

The drive from Yergalem and Dilla was beautiful.   Pastor Wogene too the back roads rather than the main road which was under construction.

I often have drank Ethiopian Sidamo Coffee from SBUX - that is the region in which I am teaching - the Sidamo Region.  The areas we drive through were filled with fields of coffee.   Neat stuff!

Here is a view of Dila from my hotel window.

This is the Dila Church we taught at.

The group in Dilla numbers around 50 leaders from 13 different churches representing 6 different denominations.

In looking at this group of leaders I noticed they were older than the group in Yergalem.   There also was a couple of representatives from different regions "checking out" the training.  Word of mouth has spread about how God is using this simple training.   God is opening doors.

As we do at every session, we broke the group into 8 groups, each assigned a passage of Scripture to break apart through the questions and then present to the rest of the gathering.

Many use their cell phones as the copies of Scripture.   The app on their phone is free while a Bible in their cultural language may be quite expensive.

We had a wonderful time.   This is the Pastor and His Wife.

The group gave me a beautiful scarf of their regional tradition colors.

Here is a group shot of the believers in Dila.
